Sitemaps Are Used To instruct search engines of the Website pages you do or do-not want them to Index.
Some common pages you may want to exclude from displaying on search engines include administrator login & admin pages, hidden pages, corporate forms, WordPress theme pages, policy pages, checkout carts, client access and password protected pages.
In the simplest of terms, a sitemap is a lot like the card file cabinet in a library
While the XML format of sitemap is the standard for Google, it isn't the only type available. We provide sitemap creation and submission to search engines in the following formats:
- RSS (also recommended by Google, Bing, and Yahoo)
- XML (Google's fave, but not universal)
